Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) are well-established anesthesia providers that always practice alongside anesthesiologists in a variety of surgical/procedural settings. CAAs are novel practitioners in Kansas, but have been practicing safe anesthesia care in many other states for over 50 years. CAAs complete a 24-28 month didactic and clinical course of schooling after obtaining a bachelor's degree and meeting other program prerequisites.
